Make a Ring in a Day

Manchester School of Jewellery

Thursday 25th April, 10am- 4pm

Manchester Craft and Design Centre

Manchester School of Jewellery offers one-day and short courses for enthusiastic beginners to skilled makers looking to broaden their knowledge in a variety of jewellery techniques and allied skills. Workshops are held in Space2 on the Ground Floor. There are limited tickets available to allow for social distancing.

The course covers a multitude of skills; shaping, hammering, texturing and silver soldering. We will also teach students how to saw, file, size rings and finish silver work. Practice will begin using copper, with demonstrations given for the different skills, followed by time to apply these skills. Once the skills are refined, each person will make a sterling silver ring from start to finish, and the ring will be theirs to take away.
