3D Shibori Scarf Workshop

Transform unwanted textiles into something beautiful

Come and spend three creative hours learning how to transform recycled and unwanted textiles into your very own 3D Shibori Scarf – a unique piece of wearable art to take home.

This relaxed, hands-on workshop is an opportunity to explore fabric in a completely different way.

You’ll learn how to fold, twist, shape and manipulate textiles to create beautiful three-dimensional textures and forms. You’ll have the chance to experiment with a selection of recycled and unwanted materials, discovering how they can be transformed into something completely new and uniquely yours.

No previous experience with textiles or crafts is needed, and there’s no sewing involved. I’ll demonstrate each stage of the process and be there to guide and support you throughout the workshop, so you can work at your own pace and enjoy the creative process.

At the heart of the workshop is a simple idea: rather than throwing away materials we no longer use, we can find imaginative ways to give them a new life.

What you’ll do

During the workshop, you will:

• Discover the Shibori-inspired technique used to create the 3D effect
• Learn how recycled and unwanted textiles can be creatively reused
• Watch a step-by-step demonstration of the process
• Experiment with folding, twisting, shaping and creating texture
• Choose from a selection of recycled and unwanted materials
• Create your own unique 3D Shibori Scarf
• Receive guidance and support throughout the session
• Take your finished scarf home with you

What’s included? Your ticket includes everything you need for the workshop. There’s no need to bring any materials with you. All the textiles and materials you need will be provided, and you’ll leave with your very own finished 3D Shibori Scarf to take home and enjoy.
