Sgraffito Scent Bottle Workshop

Beverley Meyer

Saturday 1 August | 10am or 2pm

Manchester Craft and Design Centre

Learn the decorative art of sgraffito as you create your own Matisse-inspired ceramic scent bottle with artist Beverley Meyer.

Inspired by the colours of Manchester and the Mediterranean, you’ll use paper-cut stencil designs to carve into a pre-glazed clay bottle, revealing the clay beneath to create your own unique pattern. Choose from an Yves Klein blue bottle inspired by the Mediterranean or a terracotta bottle reflecting Manchester’s red brick heritage.

Beverley will guide you through the sgraffito process step by step, making this workshop suitable for complete beginners as well as those looking to explore a new ceramic technique.

After the workshop, your bottle will be professionally fired and finished, ready to collect approximately two to three weeks later.

Saturday 1 August | 10am or 2pm | 2.5 hours | £60
