Rug Tufting Workshop

Alena Ruth

Saturday 29 August | 10am or 2pm

Manchester Craft and Design Centre

Create your own colourful rug from scratch in this beginner-friendly workshop with rugmaker Alena Ruth, taking place during Manchester Village Pride.

You’ll learn how to use professional tufting guns and specialist rug-making tools as you create your own 30 × 30cm rug featuring a simple design in up to four colours. Alena will guide you through every stage of the process, from tufting to shaving your finished piece for a professional finish.

Following the workshop, your rug will be glued and completed in Alena’s studio before being ready for collection at a later date. Please send your rug design at least 48 hours before the workshop.
