WORKSHOP ITINERARY
Introduction
Claire Mellalieu: Enjoy a brief introduction to the designer’s journey into this craft while sipping a glass of fizz.

Silk Scarf Printing
During the session, you will learn how to dye a 25 x 150 cm long silk scarf using the Bundle Dyeing technique. This natural steam process draws out and fixes colours from pressed flowers and leaves, creating clear botanical shapes on the fabric.

Tatakizome Card Printing
While the scarves are steaming, we will explore Tatakizome, or flower pounding. This ancient Japanese technique involves hammering plants to create intricate prints on greeting cards.

The Big Reveal
Bundle dyeing is a wonderfully unpredictable process. The highlight of the workshop is the “Big Reveal,” where you will unwrap your bundles to discover your unique botanical prints.
