Introduction to Oil and Cold Wax Painting

Discover the exciting possibilities of painting with oil and cold wax medium in this relaxed, hands-on workshop led by artist Saima Rasheed.

Working step by step, you will explore how to build rich layers of colour, texture and atmosphere using palette knives, scrapers and a variety of mark-making tools. Through demonstrations and individual guidance, you’ll learn techniques for creating expressive contemporary landscapes while developing confidence to experiment and enjoy the painting process.

Suitable for complete beginners as well as those wishing to expand their painting practice, this workshop encourages creativity, exploration and play rather than perfection.

By the end of the session, you will have completed at least one atmospheric landscape on specialist oil painting paper and gained the knowledge to continue working with this versatile medium at home.
