Introduction to Enamelling

With Manchester School of Jewellery

Friday 11th September | 10am - 4.30pm

Manchester Craft and Design Centre

Join Jewellery School as we celebrate Manchester Jewellery Week with a brand-new course: An Introduction to Enamelling.

The 6-hour course will cover different techniques including sifting, wet packing, stencilling and sgraffito. Our tutors, with over 30 years combined experience, will guide students through each of the processes. As with all our classes, the pace is slow and relaxed, with students having the opportunity to practice each technique before moving on.

We will be using copper and vitreous enamels, with demonstrations given for the different skills, followed by time to apply these skills. Once the skills are refined, each person will make an enamelled pendant in copper which they have designed and personalised from start to finish, and the pendant will be theirs to take away.
