Beginner’s Birds in Watercolour Workshop
With Susan Kane
Various Saturdays
Beginner’s ‘Birds in Watercolour’ Workshop with Susan Kane
We meet at 11am, in my studio, with a cup of tea or coffee and chat. Groups are small with no more than 4 people.
The workshop starts at a gentle pace allowing you to settle in and learn about handling watercolour, brushes and mixing
colours. Around fifteen minutes in, people often tell me how relaxed they feel.
If you like birds then I’m sure you will enjoy using watercolour to depict their beautiful colours and forms. We will spend about 15 minutes trying some fun, loosening-up techniques. This involves using a few different size/shape brushes to do 2 minute painting studies, before returning to a more relaxed pace.
You will have several A4 watercolour studies to take home. We take a break at around 1pm to get lunch. There are lots of cafes in the area including Fred’s on the ground floor of the Craft Centre.
All materials provided. Bring lunch and a bag to carry your artwork home.
