The Cyan Studio

Victoria Glover started The Cyan Studio in 2019 after completing a Textiles and Surface Pattern Degree. The time of working from home during the pandemic developed into a passion for sharing and teaching the hand printing techniques that can easily be made at home without specialist equipment.

Victoria hand prints one of kind pieces on materials such as natural linens and cottons. These textiles are available as cushions, prints, lampshades and more here at Studio 26, upstairs at Manchester Craft & Design Centre.

Having made a living from photography for many years, Victoria has an extensive archive of photographs documenting plants, landscapes and naturally occurring patterns and it is these photos that inform her designs and printing experiments.

The Cyan Studio is the perfect space to learn new printing techniques in small group workshops in the heart of the Northern Quarter, Manchester. The studio can accommodate groups of up to four people with both full-day workshops and shorter taster sessions.

She is inspired to recreate patterns by using hand printing techniques such as the cyanotype process, screen printing methods, indigo shibori dyeing along with other methods of resist printing. Many of these techniques are available as workshops throughout the year. Please contact Victoria at [email protected] for more information.
