Fibre Designs

In 2003, fibre was founded at the Craft and Design Centre in Manchester’s Northern Quarter.

For the past 20 years, Jessica has specialised in producing framed, contemporary textile pieces and handmade cards for all occasions.

Each embroidered textile piece being a one-off design offers the customer something truly unique, and the opportunity to have cards, gifts and textile pieces tailor-made to their requirements.

This has led to fibre design’s commission service becoming increasingly popular, with a growing number of customers who are seeking that special bespoke gift.

More recently, Jessica’s contemporary, semi-abstract seascape paintings have developed into a growing collection of original affordable art. Signed limited edition prints are also available to buy.

Jessica Livsey Art

Inspired by the turquoise sea of the Mediterranean from visits to Greece and the Adriatic coast, as well as childhood memories of rock pooling in North Wales, Jessica’s paintings aim to capture the essence of the coastline, focusing on portraying a sense of movement and pattern and the way light interacts with the sea.

Jessica uses acrylic mixed with oil in a pouring technique, the paint is then manipulated before drying, to portray the feeling of movement which creates a distinct look unique to this process. Working from memory, allows her to paint in an expressive style, which can have a bold, but also a calming quality. Considered brush strokes alongside the fluidity of the paint, results in paintings that bring a peaceful energy to your room
