Poppy Thorne is a multidisciplinary contemporary jeweller driven by narratives of the human condition and our shared experiences.
Making as a personal response to everyday occurrences and observations she aims to create dialogue as well as evoke associations, memories and emotions. Viewing adornment as a not only bodily decoration but as a tool for communication and connection she imbues her pieces with stories of past and present while looking toward the future. Focused on traditional practices and hand forming her pieces reflect the intrinsic connection between maker, object and wearer.
