Conversations in Craft: The Future is Handmade
Deborah Simms
Thursday 22 Oct | 5.30pm - 7pm
We want to discuss what’s working in the craft sector today, celebrate skills, learn more about the projects across our region, and how the challenges we face today are met and overcome by our makers and sector. Through our programme, we will explore topics at the top of the craft agenda.
We want to offer an opportunity for all who care deeply about Craft to come together, for established makers to be inspired and empowered, and to bring together the Craft community across Greater Manchester.
PANEL DISCUSSIONS
The Future is Handmade
An exploration of what it means to make with your hands, to hold on to traditional techniques and interpret them for the modern world. Greater Manchester is no stranger to making, with a strong industrial and making heritage, how do we honour that heritage in a region with its eyes so focussed on the future?
