Your Name: Jessica Livsey
Business Name: fibre designs
I share my studio with: Rachel Saunders (‘The Magpie’s Daughter’, vintage-inspired jewellery).
How would you describe the items you produce?
Beautiful handmade embroidered gifts and greeting cards which can be personalised for any occasion. Whether it’s to celebrate a christening, wedding, special anniversary, or the birth of a baby, the personalised frames are something that people of any age will want to keep. I also paint acrylic seascapes

What are the things that have inspired, and continue to inspire, your work?
I combine my intrinsic flair for colour and texture, to create unique textile pieces and cards. My work is influenced by seasons, nature and coastal environments, mainly the Mediterranean sea in my paintings
When you are not producing new work, what do you like to spend your time doing and why?
Getting away to the coast, redesigning my garden and allotment and going for long walks along the river.
If you were asked to describe the experience of visiting Manchester Craft & Design Centre to someone who has yet to come along, what would you tell them?
A lovely shopping experience away from the hustle and bustle of the high street, relaxed and inspiring, and somewhere to find unique, handmade products.
