At Manchester Craft & Design Centre we’re passionate about supporting new graduates and bridging the gap between graduation and professional practice.

MMU Graduate Solo Exhibition Award Winner Josh Till

Now in its eleventh year, our MMU Graduate Solo Exhibition Award offers one talented graduate a sponsored award package which includes bespoke professional development support, extensive promotion through our online media and a solo exhibition here at MCDC a year after graduation.

This year, this incredible opportunity was awarded to the very deserving Joshua Till, whose stunning stem-bent wooden furniture caught our eye straight away. We look forward to hosting his show here in the spring of 2017.

The mentoring and career progression opportunities provided by this award make a huge difference to the practice of an emerging talent. Elizabeth Winstanley, our 2013 winner, said, “This opportunity has been a real lifeline for me, leaving university is a hugely daunting prospect but winning the award not only meant that I gained a solo exhibition with a huge amount of exposure, it also meant that my work flourished through new collaborative projects.”

Six other artists caught our eye at the MMU degree show, read more about who we spotted here.
