10/09/14

Our current exhibiting artist, Kashif Nadim Chaudry is launching a new pop-up installation, “Hareem”, as part of Asia Triennial Manchester.

Private view: Tuesday 14th October
18.00 – 21.00

Exhibition open from 14th – 18th October
17.00 – 20.00pm daily.

You are cordially invited to join Nadim for the private view of Hareem at Federation House, Manchester.

His pop-up installation presents an “orgy of deathly figures in a state of opulent arousal. Inspired by Islamic geometry and composed of a multitude of fabric scraps, Hareem brings together two of my favorite things.” The exhibition is supported by Castlefield Gallery’s New Art Spaces and runs in conjunction with Asia Triennial 2014.

“Hareem” is supported by Castlefield Gallery’s New Art Spaces (NAS), which is an initiative to create dynamic project spaces for artists, artist collectives and artists development agencies. Making use of temporary vacant retail, office and light industrial units, NAS provides opportunities for emerging creatives to incubate their practices, produce work and showcase new art to local communities. Currently CG runs New Art Spaces in Leigh, Widnes, Salford, and Manchester city centre.
