An oasis in the middle of the city, Manchester Craft & Design Centre is light and airy and manages to be both cosy and spacious at the same time. The cafe is the beating heart of the centre where conversations are had about art, craft, life, plans are no doubt hatched and decisions made. Just feet away from our expert makers as they handcraft beautiful things, the atmosphere is conducive to your creative impulses. Leave feeling inspired.

A changing menu of seasonal dishes is available all year round. Everyday they serve home baked delectable treats such as a date and walnut cake, a melt in the mouth strawberry flaked chocolate cake, and if you’re looking for something hearty, a one pot wonder (a stew or curry or soup, depending on the day) will do the trick. With an ethos of ‘something for everyone’ there is a range of vegetarian, vegan, and gluten free options that are both scrumptious and carefully designed by the knowledgeable staff.

Feeling peckish after a Christmas shopping spree? Look no further than MCDC’s Christmas Cafe Menu to beat those hunger pangs. If you’re feeling tired, there is a section of loose leaf teas and coffees so you can get back out there with a spring in your step. The main menu is unchanged during Christmas, with an optional extra Christmas menu.

Why not treat yourself to a christmas toastie? Including turkey, stuffing, smoked cheddar and cranberry. Or a frankly genius veggie equivalent which has our favourite stilton in it, along with walnuts and a cranberry sauce. Vegans don’t worry we haven’t left you out, there is a delicious sounding Vegan Pot Pie for a good price.

Christmas drinks include a homemade mulled cider, a Baileys Latte and a Cointreau hot chocolate (yes please) for a fiver or under.

With our saver Christmas menu, you can enjoy combinations such as a toastie, stollen and mulled cider for £8.00 that would imbue anyone with some Christmas spirit.
