Pewter Bangle Workshop

Workshop Leader: Ella McIntosh

Saturday 29th July, 2.30pm - 5.30pm

Manchester Craft and Design Centre

Join Ella on a 3-hour pewter bangle-making workshop. Create your own design using pattern, texture and traditional jewellery-making skills.

During this workshop, Ella will guide you through the process of adding texture and pattern to sheet pewter, a lead-free metal.

We will use textures and foraged dried foliage to print on the pewter using a traditional metalwork tool called a rolling mill. Please feel free to bring textures to try (less than 5mm in thickness such as lace, and dried leaves/petals (fresh green leaves don’t work) and paper stencils work well).

We will then use hammers, forming tools and soldering techniques to create your bangle or cuff-style bracelet before polishing it so you can proudly wear it home. This a fun workshop to create your own unique piece of jewellery.
