Coronavirus update: MCAD is currently closed to the public, but we’re still making!
Looking after the health & wellbeing of our makers, staff & volunteers is a priority. After careful consideration of the coronavirus pandemic, we’ve decided we will be closed to the public until further notice. Behind the scenes, our makers will be continuing to get creative and making here at the Centre or at home, and we have taken every precaution necessary to make sure that the building can still be used for making, whilst maintaining a safe environment in line with recent government recommendations.
Our exhibitions and events programme is now on hold, but our team will be busy working behind the scenes to think about new and exciting ways we can share maker stories with you and also help independent makers adapt and get through this period of uncertainty.
Please continue to support our community of local makers during this challenging time by #GivingHandmade #Online and showing them some love, likes and support on social media. Your support and encouragement really helps.

We look forward to reopening as soon as it is possible to do so, but, until then wish you all the best with your making and hope you stay safe.
Take care, everyone at MCAD.
