THIS IS PEWTER Cuttlefish Casting Workshop
Saturday 27th Feb, 10am – 4pm
£55 per person, materials included
Lets get Pewtering!
During this Cuttlefish Casting GIVE IT A BASH workshop Ella will guide you through all the stages of designing and making your own Pewter hanging decoration or bracelet/pendant charm using molten Pewter, which you will cast into cuttlefish bone after creating your own unique mould through a series of scratching, drawing and pressing techniques. The day is designed so you can take home a finished item, new skills and tips for if you want to continue Pewtering at home.
Lead-free pewter is a soft and versatile metal which doesn’t tarnish, can be used with food, and looks super stylish around your home. Ella is an award-winning designer and is based in studio 10 here at Manchester Craft & Design Centre. She is passionate about Pewter, and can’t wait to see you in the workshop!
Please note: Materials, hot beverages and biscuits are provided though lunch is not. You are welcome to explore the many local eateries in the Northern Quarter, bring a packed lunch or join us at the on-site Oak Street Cafe Bar.
