EVENT : May 12, 2016.
Manchester After Hours: Behind Closed Doors
One night. City Wide. Free events.
A one night only, city wide social. A mix of odd couplings and unexpected partnerships. A chance for you to get into places and spaces not normally open after hours. It’s Museums at Night, It’s Manchester After Hours.
The commissioned piece will capture the intrigue of Verity Howard’s exhibition, which questions what lies behind the surface of people’s lives. It will connect to Avital’s unnerving musical style, bringing into focus the public space between Verity’s closed door houses to create an original and thought provoking After Hours performance.
The commission builds on both MCDC and Brighter Sound’s respective talent development and emerging artist/musician programmes, focusing on celebrating and profiling the work of exciting up and coming artists.
We will also be unveiling the results of a very special collaboration between Verity Howard and Studio 10’s Ella McIntosh (THIS IS PEWTER), commissioned to celebrate the 10th anniversary of our MMU Graduate Award.
Free, no booking required.
6:30pm & 7:30pm
Manchester Craft & Design Centre will be open 6-8pm.
There’s plenty more to choose from, all across the city, but for one night only. Visit manchesterafterhours.co.uk
