EVENT : July 13, 2017.
Maker Meet Up
Are you looking to meet your creative match? Want to find out more about Manchester Craft & Design Centre’s Resident Makers and network with craft industry professionals? Then step out of your studios and into our creative community for our bi-annual maker social event.
Join us from 6-8pm at Manchester Craft & Design Centre for an evening of networking, advice and idea-sharing.
Our popular one-to-one advisor sessions are back this year, giving you the chance to pick the brains of an established maker or industry professional. There will be an opportunity to sign up to one-to-one advice surgeries at the beginning of the evening.
A list of surgery advisors will be send out prior to the event, helping answer questions about portfolio careers, marketing, approaching and working with galleries, making the most of opportunities, and different career options for makers. If there’s something you’re desperate to know or talk about on the evening, do let us know in advance and we’ll see what we can do.
Is this event for me?
We welcome craft and design makers and artists at all stages of their career to this event. Making can sometimes be a lonely place and this is an ideal opportunity to meet other makers, share ideas, and come away with some new contacts, connections and potential collaborators.
We’re excited to announce that at next week’s Maker Meet Up, members of Makers Dozen will be offering feedback and advice about your work.
The portfolio reviews will be a great opportunity for you to talk about your work with your peers, get feedback and advice, exchange ideas, and discuss opportunities for progression in your work.
Find out more about Makers Dozen here.
