Make with Makers – Embroidadoodle: Textiles workshop with Andrea from &made
Top textiles Maker Andrea Lord from &made will teach you a new set of embroidery design skills in this exciting new workshop.
By “embroidadoodling” with Andrea you will develop your own design, learn new techniques and experiment with sewing and applique skills to create your very own textiles masterpiece.
So whether you want to create a unique notebook, sketchbook, iPad or laptop cover, Andrea will teach you a variety of skills which you can continue to develop at home.
Andrea is the founder of &made, whose studio is based upstairs at MCDC. &made design & make a growing range of handmade gifts & homewares employing traditional skills with a modern twist. Her background as a model animator at Cosgrove Hall films (working in classic productions including ‘Chorlton & the Wheelies’ & ‘Wind in the Willows’), and later as a costume maker for Postman Pat & Rupert Bear.

*Concession tickets are available for students, senior citizens, those with disabilities and the unemployed. Please bring proof or ID along with you to the workshop.
Some basic sewing skills are required for this workshop.
Please note that lunch is not provided. You are welcome to bring a packed lunch, explore the many local eateries in the Northern Quarter, or join us at the lovely Oak St. Cafe Bar onsite at MCDC.
