Kate Colin: The Art of the Fold
Glaswegian designer-maker Kate Colin explores how colour, tonal variations, shadow and geometric form interact in this folded paper installation.
Kate is inspired by mathematical forms and nature and has developed her own technique of hand scoring and folding paper to create a range of unique designs.
Every piece is made of a unique combination of colours and when illuminated, their appearance is radically transformed: folds, creases and angles become emphasised while an intensity of colour is brilliantly revealed.
Free launch event: Thursday 23rd November, 6-8pm
Join us for drinks, live music from resident DJ Ailsa McLaggan of Living Room Dance Club and the chance to do some late night Christmas shopping.
