WORKSHOP : November 9, 2019.
Introduction to Watercolour
Time: 11am-5pm
Price: £95
Tickets available here.
If you would like to try out watercolours in a relaxed and informal setting, you will enjoy this workshop.
You will be looking at fresh, autumnal flowers and seedpods and the techniques you can use to capture their beauty.
Sue will show you how simple brushstrokes can create petals, leaves and stems, enabling you to play with brushes and dip pens until you are happy to start painting flowers.
You’ll explore colour mixing and colour theory, allowing you to create great colour combinations and paint simple flower studies, choosing one to make into a card, if you wish, to take home.
Sue will provide all the materials you need for this workshop including blank greetings cards.
The workshop will begin with a few loosening up brushwork exercises which are fun to do and great to get you into the swing of painting freely.
You can buy food and drinks at Oak Street Cafe here at the Craft Centre. They offer 10% discount to workshop attendees. Tea/coffee and biscuits will be provided.
