Hatched: Twelve handpicked makers, fresh from the box
Exhibition of the Hothouse 5 North cohort
‘Hatched’ will feature twelve of the North’s best emerging designer-makers, including ceramicists, jewellers, furniture makers and more. From sculptures inspired by boatbuilding in the Lake District to ceramics influenced by Mid-century British and Scandinavian design, this exhibition demonstrates the exciting and diverse world of contemporary craft & design.
Makers include Beatrix Baker, BLH Ceramics, Fera Jewellery, Jasmine Simpson, Jude Works, Katherine Lees, Libby Ward, Simon Wilks, Stephanie Lawton, Studio LW, Tom Philipson.
Pop-Up Showcase: Textiles
As if that’s not enough fresh new talent, we’re excited to introduce you to Lauren Kelly and Charlotte Frith, winners of our University of Bolton Pop-Up Showcase Award. We will be showcasing the girls’ work in space2 for four days, launching alongside Hatched on 10 September. Find out more here…
