Have you always fancied a bash at metalwork? Want to learn a new skill? Experience something new? Is your creative side itching to get out? This is your chance…
Join Ella on her Cuttlefish Casting workshop to make your own Christmas hanging decoration perfect for your tree or as a handmade gift. Casting molten Pewter into Cuttlefish bone is wonderful process which allows you to scratch, draw or press into the medium resulting in a huge scope for your own unique design. Ella will guide you through the whole process, from design through to the finishing of your castings, so you can take home a finished item as well as a set of new skills and lots of handy tips for all you budding Pewterers.
Lead-free Pewter is a versatile and ‘eco-friendly’ metal which looks like Silver, but is very low maintenance, can be used with food, and look super stylish around your home. Ella is an award-winning designer and is based here at Manchester Craft & Design Centre. She is passionate about pewter, and can’t wait for you to fall in love with it too.
