Craft Term: Workshops

This half-term come and get making at our Craft Term workshops. From weaving inspired by our new ‘#MagicCarpet’ exhibition to helping to create a giant sculpture in clay, we have a diverse selection of make-and-do activities to suit all ages and abilities.

Craft Term: Wonderful Weaving, 18 & 20 Feb, 12pm – 3pm, suitable for 5 years and older, free, Booking via Eventbrite

We’ll have a variety of handlooms to try out and you’ll be able to have a go at making tapestries of all shapes, sizes and materials!

All materials are provided.

Craft Term: Clay Sculptures, 20 Feb, 45-minute sessions from 12pm until 3.45pm, suitable for 5 years and older, free, Booking via Eventbrite

Resident ceramist Katherine Lees will show you how to shape and mould clay and then how to join it together to make your own part of a large scale clay sculpture. Use everyday objects to make marks in the clay and form the clay to build your own part of our masterpiece.

The theme is ‘places of our imagination’ come along and draw the places in your imagination, then have the chance to create this in clay and add it to our sculpture.

To make sure as many people as possible can enjoy this workshop, please book a timed ticket via Eventbrite. Please try and arrive 15 minutes before your time slot.

This is a messy activity, please wear appropriate clothing (aprons will be provided.) Children must be accompanied by an adult.
