Autumn Fun Day

With Manchester City Council

Wednesday 26th October, 12pm - 4pm

Manchester Craft and Design Centre

Join us for a FREE day of autumnal fun on Wednesday 26th October from 12pm – 4pm.

If you’re looking for something to do with the kids this half term, pop along for treasure hunts around the Northern Quarter, craft activities, workshops, a book swap and more!

Inside the Centre, there will be a Leaf Printing Workshop with Victoria Glover, A Winter Sunshine Workshop with Claire Norcross, and a Book Swap, plus you’ll find our Treasure Map collection point.

Outside the Centre, you’ll find Manchester Community Bike Kitchen who will be selling discounted bikes as well as completing Dr Bike sessions. The Canal and River Trust and Northward Housing will be delivering a talk.

Make monoprints with found autumn leaves with Victoria Glover from The Cyan Studio. Explore and walk around the Northern Quarter to find fallen leaves to bring back to Manchester Craft and Design Centre to create cards and pictures. This is a simple process which involves Gelli plates being inked up to create monoprints, the leaves are then transferred to paper. This workshop is suitable for all ages. There will be leaves available, but please do bring any you like along!

Bring a book, take a book! This is a great way for people to find out about new books and grow their book collection without having to pay.
