Nell is an award winning surface designer, creating fresh, modern prints by hand using traditional silkscreen techniques. Simplicity is key to her design aesthetic: inspired by Japanese cartoons and Scandinavian textiles. Her bright and friendly designs adorn a variety of products from bespoke organic cotton childrens clothing to contemporary homewares.
Since graduating from MMU's MA Textiles course in 2008, she has been running her business from a studio at the Craft Centre. She also teaches and leads workshops. Highlights include working as Associate Lecturer at UCLAN and as Lead Designer on the V&A funded Design For Life project. She is always happy to accept commissions and loves to draw new characters based on customer's favourite animals!
