Linzi Ramsden creates ceramics and artworks inspired by natural forms, geometry & space, fascinated by the endless possibilities of breaking down and reassembling a simple shape. One piece invariably inspires another, reinterpreted or rotated to create something unexpected, modern yet classic.

Only with texture, colour and pattern does a vessel emerge, imbued with geography, meaning and context by the manipulation of natural found objects from her walks and travels. These treasured items infuse the new vessel with a specific biography, memorialising a particular moment in time.

In an era dominated by mass production, the handmade engagement with raw, organic material to create beautiful, functional objects has a particular allure. It is this enduring quality that Linzi's work evokes and articulates.
