Jodi Wright Glass Design
Jodi designs and produces a distinctive range of kiln formed glass products that demonstrate her fresh and innovative approach to design for the contemporary interior. The products incorporate a range of styles and colours and are appreciated by a discerning and diverse group of people.
Jodi is passionate about her work. She is generally inspired to produce glass pieces which draw from natural forms, producing a diversity which gives pleasure to the maker and the owner alike. The Aquatic range which has been added to over the years consists of more organic forms and vibrant colours, made with glass canes which Jodi makes alongside a glass blower then once back in the studio are cut and fused into various formations.
Jodi is already recognised as having a firm niche in her specialist field. Whilst usually her inspiration is drawn from the natural world, she designed a new range for 2004 which reflected her move back to the sophistication of the city. The methods of the �orient� range are totally different as Jodi uses layering of sheet glass to get the effects and the shapes are square and rectangular. Initially this range was only available in black and white, although she added red with black in December 2004. This has been an exciting venture � exploring new techniques and giving a fresh perspective on design, and this range continues to be a very popular one.
