You can find Alena in Studio 1 where she shares space with painter, Laura Richardson and jeweller, Amy Wilkinson.

Alena makes jewellery from hand-dyed plastic. Her aim is to create something beautiful from this ordinary material and give it a new sense of worth. "The items have a precious quality and glow with colour because of the translucency of the material".

Alena hand-dyes the plastic into rich colours and combines it with textured silver fragments. The two materials contrast and complement each other perfectly. Each piece is designed and made entrirely by hand.
