If you’re looking to drive more traffic to your website or online shop but you’re not sure where to start then this course is for you.
SEO (Search Engine Optimization) is the process of maximizing the number of visitors to a website by making sure it appears high on the list of results returned by a search engine, like Google or Bing.
This course is tailored to artists and makers who have a website or online shop (or are looking to build one) and need to be familiar with the techniques used to increase their visitor numbers. It will start at the beginning and guide you through onsite and offsite SEO, with a focus on creating and sharing quality content.
You’ll get an overview of:
There will be lots of opportunities to ask questions, and have a go yourself.
You’re a sole-trader making a living from your creative business. You’re the designer, maker, accountant, marketing manager, social media guru, retail supervisor, web developer, transport and delivery manager, and tea-maker. We understand that sole-traders take on all roles within a business, and work hard to bring you content which has been developed especially for you.
This workshop is for designer-makers who have a website and/or online shop, and want to increase the number of hits visitors through search engines.
You don’t need to be an IT whizz to do this workshop – Jenny will guide you through everything you need to know.
Ideally you should bring a laptop with you, so that you can have a go at putting your newfound SEO skills into practice during the session.
Unfortunately we are not able to lend laptops for this workshop. If you do not have a computer to bring along, don’t worry – you can take notes and practice at home.
