This year GNCCF celebrates their 10th Anniversary from 12th -15th October at their new home of Upper Campfield Market, in the heart of Manchester city centre. The Little Great Northern Contemporary Craft Fair

Sunday 7th May

The GNCCF has a little sister – The Little Northern Contemporary Craft Fair. These smaller selected one-day events bring together approx. 40 selected designer-makers and artists, taking high quality contemporary craft into the suburbs of South Manchester and Cheshire. The next LNCCF will take place in Sunday 7th May at Altrincham Town Hall. Find out about how to apply here.

The John Ruskin Prize 2017

Deadline: Monday 24th April 2017

Prizes: 1st Prize (£3000) | 2nd Prize (£1000) | Student Prize (£1000)

Shortlist Exhibition: The Millennium Gallery, Sheffield 21st June – 8th October 2017

In celebration of this year’s theme of the ‘Artist as Polymath’, 2017 marks the first year that The Prize will be open to makers and craftspeople, as well as fine artists. The selection panel will select 20 prize finalists to be included in a high profile shortlist exhibition at The Millennium Gallery, Sheffield 21st June – 8th October 2017. The three winners will be announced at the private view in June 2017. All prize finalists will also have the opportunity to be included in the online Ruskin Editions collection. Applications are open to a range of interpretations and approaches, the theme is intended to lend itself to responses from artists and makers whose work celebrates the opportunity to marry diverse materials and disciplines. Handmade at Kew

Are you a maker interested in selling your work in Kew Gardens? Apply before Friday 31st March for a chance to see your work on show at Handmade at Kew, the four day contemporary craft event taking place this autumn, 12th-15th October. @handmadeinbritain welcome applications from individual makers, groups and galleries of contemporary craft working across all disciplines in the applied arts.
