Rebecca McEvoy

The provocative work of Rebecca McEvoy explores the relationship between man and animals, between the living and the dead, between beauty and disgust. She has produced a collection that intrigues, fascinates and revolts.

Working with second hand leather, fur and animal fragments found on woodland walks, Rebecca creates jewellery and accessories that invite the viewer to question fashion, taboos and notions of what is beautiful.

Rebecca, a dedicated vegetarian, says "I believe in an animal being precious and glamorous as a living being, not for the garment it could be turned into or as a display of status."
