Small Business Saturday 2016
Manchester Craft & Design Centre is a not-for-profit social enterprise and the independent incubator venue for craft/design businesses in the North West. We support over 30 creative enterprises each year with developing successful and influential businesses. This Small Business Saturday we’re encouraging you to spend the first shopping Saturday in December supporting small, independent businesses like those based here at MCDC.
Browse our 18 studio shops for original, handmade Christmas gifts that have been created right here by some of the most talented designer-makers in the region. Every purchase qualifies for entry into our competition to win a hamper of handmade goodies – more info on that here… Relax in Oak Street Cafe Bar and enjoy a hot spiced cider or boozy hot chocolate and a sweet festive treat and we’ve got singer and current ‘songwriter in residence’ at the People’s History Museum, Quiet Loner (aka Matt Hill), here to entertain you with some festive tunes (performances at 2.15, 3.15 and 4.15pm).
