Future Makers: Craft Trail

Our resident makers are looking to the future of craft & design! Many of our MCDC crafters are going to feature new graduate artists throughout the duration of our current exhibition Every Step: The Design Process of Joseph Hartley.
'Future Makers' gives you the chance to discover carefully selected and displayed work by emerging talent from a wide variety of disciplines. Work will be on display in studios throughout the Centre from 23rd March.
CRAFT TRAIL: Pick up a trail sheet from the exhibition space, then pop your completed forms in the box near Oak St. Cafe to be in with a chance of winning a £10 MCAD voucher!
Make with Makers: 'Throw With Joe' ceramics workshop
7th June (10am-4pm)
£50 per person
Our current exhibition, 'Every Step' showcases the work of maker Joe Hartley. As part of our Make with Makers workshop series Joe invites you to a creative workshop where you will learn how to throw clay on the wheel, as well as having a go at turning a pot.
Joe will share his own creative process with you as well of some of his personal clay working tips and tricks and you'll end the day having made your very own usable bowl, which will be fired and collected after the session. This class is hosted by Manchester Craft & Design Centre and will take place at Manchester Metropolitan University (Oxford Road).
