Manchester Craft and Design Centre (MCAD) offers a unique space for makers to create, present and sell the best of contemporary craft and design to the public. We are a not-for-profit company located in the former Victorian fish and poultry market in the creative ‘Northern Quarter’ of Manchester city centre. We also offer supporting services to craftspeople and designers through exhibition opportunities and provision of workshop/retail accommodation. We now have an exciting opportunity for an Assistant Manager with key responsibility for Marketing.
The Assistant Manager will have full responsibility for implementing and developing MCAD’s Marketing Strategy, developing publicity materials and campaigns to increase public awareness and footfall, and media liaison. The position also involves contributing to the efficient running of the Centre, liaising with our tenant artists and improving front of house standards. This is a key role and offers a fantastic opportunity to raise MCAD’s profile as a unique retail / arts venue in Manchester, regionally and nationally.
You will have at least 2 years experience in a similar role, and be educated to degree level in a relevant subject or have equivalent experience. Excellent communication and administration skills, resourcefulness and a strategic approach to marketing will also be invaluable.
